Yonok Wetland - Wat Pa Mak No - 4th December 2007

Hope for the future; Local Government officials declare a section of Yonok as a non fishing area and celebrated with the releasing of 1000's of native fish.

We are very pleased that many people wish to care for Yonok Wetlands and it's wildlife.
The Bird Conservation of Thailand and many other Conservation Groups welcome this move are are firmly in support of restoring Yonok wetlands to it's former glory as a haven for wildlife,
We hope a new beginning in the History of Yonok with people caring for life!

Dowroong joins the celebration of releasing fish into Yonok.

Dowroong at Wat Viang Cum: Local villagers express fears of damage to the wetland environment by the use of pesticides for the control of crop pest. The villagers are upset by the numbers of fish that die from chemical pollution. This will be sad as the release of fish today may well suffer the same fate.
Ajan Sane welcomes villagers to come and speak of the worries.
